First, since the parent already signed the paper and basically emancipated the individual (essentially turning them into an adult able to make decisions, enter contracts, etc as an adult) it is highly unlikely that the marriage could be revoked using means other than the standard divorce, annulment, etc that normal adults have to go through. Second, it is a binding contract that they entered into as well (allowing the person to be married). I very much doubt that they can revoke the marriage unless they could show some proof of a decision made under extreme circumstances like they were on drugs or crazy (legally). If you are that concerned about it you can call the courthouse from wherever you live and ask, they should be able to tell you whatever you want to know. If the parent attempts to do this then you have a right, I am sure, to receive legal aid to fight it.

If in the state that the 16 year old got married it was not legal for her to marry with out her parents permission then Yes , that parent can go in front of a judge and have that marriage revoked. Even with out the parent revoking the marriage it sitll may not be a legal marriage even when that person turns 18.

marriage under 16, being underage, would usually require the consent of the parents or guardians, if the marriage was done without said consent, i think there is a possibility to revoke the marriage. if a consent was given, then the minor is considered to be emancipated and would therefore be free from the "control" of the parents/guardians...

interior the united kingdom the age of consent is sixteen, and as you're patently under that and he's over, regardless of in case you have been to consent to having intercourse with him, it would be classed as statutory rape, and he ought to bypass to penal complex. If introduced to interest, on the least he might bypass on the intercourse offenders sign up, which might **** up his finished destiny, so in case you care approximately him even a tiny bit, do no longer do it :) If that may no longer sufficient to cajole you, then there is the probability that he ought to easily be when you for intercourse, yet I won't bypass into that and the age distinction because of the fact i do no longer understand the two of you individually, and likewise the full preggers threat. So yeah. Rant over. desire I helped :)

It depends on the country you live in and the state you live in because the laws are different. For example in the U.S. if you are a morman in the state of Utah they allow men to even have more than one wife. Pretty crazy isn't it?

Marriage aat this age is not good and doomed.
a person this age is not ready for all that goes with being married.
If my daaughter did this, I certainly would be in court having it annuled.

I would not think so unless they did not give their permission for them to be married. I think once they are married they are considered emancipated and out of your control.
