you KNOW the right will then try to pin the massive debt on the dems, despite a sea of vetoes out of bush

The only way to improve our government is to change it. People are smart; they know who has increased the national debt, or they can reference the figures on line. Bush may cooperate with Dems on certain issues, if he has to. We don't know yet how he'll act because he's always had a totally complaint Congress.

No one can predict the future, especially in politics. The Republicans have had to deal with years of obfuscation by Democrats while the Dems were in the minority. Maybe the Republicans will do the same, and not let any bills get out of The House of Representatives.
Before the President can consider a veto, a law has to be passed by both houses of Congress. If he is presented with a useful law, the President will sign it.
What "massive debt" are you thinking about? We have been living with a deficit for several years. Congress never has the will to cut spending to match tax revenues, regardless of which party is in the majority.
If you are concerned about the "national debt" you might have to consider talking to an honest economist who can explain it to you. The debt can be reduced to nothing, but again, no Congress or President has shown the willingness to deal with it.
For example, the United States owns land and has no right to own anything, under the Constitution. The land could be sold, any the money used to pay off debt.
Can you imagine the US selling Yellowstone Park? It ain't gonna happen.

Someone I read the other day said they almost hoped the liberals would win this off year election so that the country could see just how ineffective they are. But the truth is even if they win all that they hope for they still won’t have enough members in the house to pass most legislation and there is always the filibuster. Last, the liberals have not been able to come up with a platform during these elections. What makes people think they will ever have answers to today’s critical issues? Something to think about?

Less then you'd think. He wants comprehensive immigration policy, that the Republican Congress does not for example. Bush is not nearly as right wing as most of the Republicans, with the exception of foreign policy. That's why spending is out of control.

Quit projecting negativity on Democrats and vote the Neocons out so the Republican party can start over. The Republican party will thank you. Vote Democrat.
