how do you help a friend that is suffering from depression...? she gets proffesional help but.. i don't think they are helping her.. she she acts like shes happy but deep down shes falling apart... when shes alone she cries her heart out... and she thinks that no one knows... she used to be so happy and joke around... she was like a kid... then there was this guy that she was madly in love with but then she found out that he has a gf... ever since that her life has been goingg out of control.. and she has been so depressed.... everyone misses the person that she was.. the little kid inside just died( that how it seems) she isn't happy.. i know that.... how do i help her .....

oh and one of her best friend is so envious of her... and now for some stupid reason her "best friend" stopped talking to her.... this girl is a total angel... she lets people hurt her.... and she does nothing about it....

She needs to know that someone like you, her friend loves her. hang in there with her, she needs a lot of reassurance that she is loved.

oh my god! i feel really sorry for you both. The only thing i would do is be there for her. there is not much else unless it gets serious. Thing is, people let their grief out in different ways and even though it is hard to watch and listen and know how much she hurts... you have to be there. Has she been like it for long? if so start easing her back into a happy surrounding, don't force it though. I think you will both be fine, as long as she has friends like you, i dont think she has too much to worry about! she will realise that soon aswell, so when it happens tell her she is wonderful and worthy of a great guy, then go out, in your glad rags and show everyone what they have been missing!oh and find that great guy!!!! good luck and big hugs!x

support her its the only thing you can do im sorry that this if happening to her be there for her and show her that you care about her and try to help her be happy tell her that she can trust you that you wont hurt her and in order for her to do that you have to make her believe it she seems pretty hurt and it seems she cant move on and she probably will but there will be some emotions abotu the past i hope everything turns out fine!

Help her by trying to get her out of the house more. Being out & around people really helps a lot. Take her to places you know she enjoys, shopping, music store, video store to rent a funny movie...

I don't know what kind of treatment your friend is getting. Is it just medication?Is it just therapy? or is it a combination of the two?How long has she been receiving treatment?As for what you can do:help her remember her meds,give her a shoulder to cry on,let her know that you will be there for her-and pray(if she begins to speak of suicide-please let her parents or doctor know )

do everything u can 2 totally 4get aabout him. dont even mentain him. if she is littaraly depresed, like have thoughts of suiside or mental insanity, she needs brain surgery
