Best guess by those that keep track of such things is between 5-10% That percentage includes those who live completely "closeted" lives.
Ethnicity, race has no bearing on whether someone is homosexual, bisexual or heterosexual. Having said that, some societies are more repressive so the number of "out" gays is insignificant

Excellent point, because they tend to think of themselves as a "race" of sorts, and seek elitist special rights and treatment on the grounds of being "hard done by" or treated "unfairly." Of course, we all know that they are people from every race who practice certain BEHAVIOR, which does not warrant any such preferential treatment.
Anyway, it's somewhere between 1 and 2 per cent across the board, regarding this behavior.
