I bought a set of electric drums 4 months ago, and have been playing it in my apartment ever since... but lately, there has been complains from the people living below me that they can feel vibrations and stuff... i think it's from the bass drum. now i can't play anymore coz they've reported me to the building manager and even threatened to call the police if the noise and vibration don't stop. is there any way i can reduce the vibration... like maybe use rubber mats or something? please help... coz i'm desperate... i'm so depressed everytime i see my drums and can't play it...

Look for a house to rent and you can play them all you want to. I live in an apartment too and I wouldn't appreciate someone playing the drums above me-I would probably turn you in too, I have 2 children who need their sleep. I have known people to make sound proof rooms somehow they put some type of paneling on the walls and the ceiling, I think they call it acoustical tile or something.

I would probably start looking for a house to rent instead of an apartment, im not sure the rubber mats would work, your best bet would be to rent a house instead of an apartment

In addition to everything already said, have you considered possibly relocating your drumset somewhere else? Is there a cellar or other area that is unused in the apartment, or possibly a corner of your apartment that is further removed from your neighbors?

The basement ceiling needs to be insulated. 6 inch bats of fiberglass will kill maximum the sound. installation accustic tile will help much greater. The egg cartens could artwork in case you need to get hold of one hundred,000 of them.
