I imagine that the average immigrant would do better on an American history and government exam than most high school students who were born in the US.

And when you say "rights for everyone" that is precisely why they are out on the streets. Everybody has rights under the constitution, there is no asterisk that says "only people born here."

In the case of naturalized citizens . . . or those in the process of becoming citizens . . . probably more than most native born Americans, because they took their courses and tests in Democracy, Constitution, American Government, etc., as serious adults rather than as teenage high school goofoffs, as most of us native born's were during those classes! In the case of illegals, well, the verdict isn't in yet.

The legal citizens probably know more about American society than most normal citizens

My husband, an immigrant, probably knows more than most citizens. He will serve if called upon.
