I don't have that many clothes so I don't know what to put together. I wanted to buy a new top last night but I had no time and I've worn my old clothes many times already. I'm Pakistani and my mom bought me lots of new shalwar kameez from Pakistan about a year ago. Should I go ahead and wear a shalwar kameez?

Contrary to what others may think, I believe that you should wear your shalwar kameez. It's beautiful. A lot of times it can be an ice breaker in getting to know someone new. I find that if I really like a shoe or outfit someone else is wearing or if I find it unique and different, I will go up to that person and ask them about it. That way I get to know someone new and learn about a really great culture as an added bonus.Conformity is way over rated in my opinion. I just bought a batik print dress from Singapore and I plan to wear it right hear in the good old U.S.A.

It depends on who else is attending the party, if there are other Pakistanis.
Why not a pair of black jeans with a simple top? even a rolled up white shirt with accessories, necklaces.
A think a Shalwar Kameez although beautiful, could involuntarily isolate you from others.

O my gosh, i think that you should deffinately wear one of your shalwar kameez, i looked at the picture, and i think that its really gorgeous! So i say wear it, and even if no one else is wearing one, well thats ok, because its good to be differant, and its such a pretty thing to wear, so im sure everyone will love it!

OMG!! It's beautiful!! You should definitely wear it!! It looks very comfortable and it is very pretty. You could wear it with some ballet flats and wear lots of necklaces or lots of bracelets. I hope I helped!! Good luck, and have fun at your party!!
