People have the ability to create "thought forms." Particularly in groups it is easy to create hysteria as well. The biggest problem with this data is there's no way to have a control group so its hard to know for certain what was going on.

On the other hand, Poltergeists are never a "real ghost" they are in fact the manifestations of someone or some thing's latent psychic energy. Also, Demons are always looking for belief to exploit... the results of this study really don't come as much of a surprise to me. It's a shame they never tried to identify further what really happened.
