Where is homosexual marriage allowed? In particular in the USA. Also is there any place that allows a marriage like sanction in America.
And lastly, this is just curiosity. Have there been any homosexuals who were the head of state? (Ruled a country)

Massecheshits is the only state that allows gay marriage. New Jersey has just had a ruling in its courts that say that a gay marriage is valid. The Federal government does not recognise either so don't expect spousal pension benefitsif your partner dies.

In Canada, we have had many lesbians and gay men from the USA (and other countries) come here to be wed. Gay marriage is legal here everywhere.
As for America, things are changing slowly, but surely. Who knows. Maybe in time, Rev. Ted Haggard will officiate at the gay weddings!

4 judges here in Massachusetts decided that you can get married if you're gay. However, the SJC also ruled that we must respect the marriage laws of other states. Chances are, if you wanted to marry, you would have to move here.

in the uk you can have a civil partnership which gives all the same rights as marriage. James I and Edward II of england were both gay rulers too.
