ok....here is the scenario......I have a PC, Cable Modem, Laptop(with an integrated wireless adapter)....and a wireless linksys speedbooster router.........now i want to create a network (obviously)......now...the router came in with a CD......where do i insert it.....in the PC or the laptop.......do i have to do it in both or something......please anybody out there...walk me through this process.......thanks...

For starters, you should have one computer (laptop or desktop) directly connected (hard wire) to the router. Insert the cd into this computer and follow the directions. After you finish setting up the router, make sure you have the needed info (network name or ssid, wep encryption strength, and password or network key) for your wireless configuration. For troubleshooting, one computer should always be hard wired to the router.
