He believed that Saddam, Iraq's former President tried to kill his father former US President George Bush. He wanted to teach Saddam a lesson by invading Iraq, Sept.11 gave him the chance to find a reason to make war with Iraq. Bush developed all the evidence that Saddam is holding WMD (Weapaons of Mass Destruction), he used the intelligence and everything available to make the world believe that it is true.... he covered his real intention by making world believe that he is invading Iraq because of this WMD and his connection with Osama.

I have read many times that long before he was president there
was a plan to invade Iraq by him and the circle of people that surrounds him. There is plenty of evidence that he twisted evidence in order to justify his move.Unfortunately this has caused the death of many young men and women serving in the armed forces plus close to seven hundred thousands of Iraqi , mostly civilians that had nothing to do with what happened in new york.Maybe the reason was to benefit Halliburton, the vice president company which is the only entity benefit ting from the Iraq War.

Sure is interesting to see how many don't keep up with the history of this episode. Would suggest you go back and do some study on what took place over a period of more than 12 years and the defiance to the UN over that same period.. The inspectors had been banned...too many events to enumerate here.. just go and read up on the information. Then you won't have to ask this inane type of question. Don't forget, congress approved. So did a lot of other countries (those that didn't have huge financial interests in Iraq... ls why they made so much money from the "Oil for food" program.

No matter it's for good or bad intentions, there is one thing i believe is true. It's that Bush thought that this war would be an easy one which he thought it's like get there, grab Saddam and let the government forms and get out! AND made him a hero. but it all goes down to the drain when the insurgents started to fight each other and left him and his cronies open mouthed and now he's just waiting for his successor to clear his sh*t.

Good Question ... I think they are really trying to figure out a good answer for that right now...

When you go into with a "fake" threat of WMDs and Personal vengence "After all, this is the guy who tried to kill my dad." that isn't going to sit well with the United States - especially when many of your republican buddies are up for re-election this November!!

Also for those that like to believe it was terrorism.. okay but then why did we not go after the source of the attacks instead we went after a different country all together - Strange isn't it.

Bush didn't make the war. He's trying to go after the crap in the world that came over here and killed 3000 innocent people in NYC on 9/11. Did you forget that episode?

they 're the ones that got us @ the world trade center back in 1973, & we did nothing. and they caught us w/our pants down again but this time we had someone that wasn't going to let them get us again w/o standing up for America. if President Bush hadn't done what he did, we would not have the freedom we still have today. we would be just like them & who wants to live like that?? some of those people don't like the way they HAVE to live. that's my opinion. keep up the GOOD job President Bush!!!!!

Good question! I'd also wonder why he instigated a war with no withdrawal strategy. Viet Nam all over again.
