Do you mean Car racing?

Just about every race curcuit in the land now does lessons. all depends on where you are in the country.

Have a look at these to give you an idea of price as it can be extremely expensive.

If your really serious about racing then i would recommend you go down the route of just about every F1 driver first including Mr Schumacher and that's Carting. It will give you much more basic car control than a full size car, sharpen up your reaction times while keeping the price down.

Any if you think for a second that it's not fast, you need to go and watch a race, it's scary stuff.

If your talking about horse racing i would think the same idea applies, contact a local course.

Hi. I agree with the person a few answers below - Karting in the best way into Motor Sport. In the UK, kids start racing at 8 years old in the Cadet class (Karts capable of 55mph). They graduate to a Junior class at age 11-12 (Karts Capable of 70 mph) and eventually reach Seniors at 16 (Karts capable of 90mph). You can just start buy a relatively cheap 2nd Hand Kart (we just sold our old (senior) one for £1,000) at your local circuit, and see if you like it. If you do like it, you can obtain an RACMSA licence (UK) and start competing as a novice. Karting will teach you everything you need to know about racing - overtaking, lines, quick laps, etc. You can then go on to use those skills in other classes of motor sport. Good luck!

First: Go to one or two track days on UK tracks. Take an older, fast, reliable car

Second: Pass your race license test

Third: select something simple like hot hatch racing and get on with it. You will have a huge amount to learn but it will be fun, believe me

There alot of Racing Schools worldwide nowdays. It depends what type of Racing your interested in. In the U.K., Bertil Roos comes to mind, I think they're still in business, look in your local Racing Publications for ads on Racing Schools.

i don't know where u r located, but we are near atlanta and, throughout the state there are many amature race tracks...dirt and hard surface/tracks and straight aways. If you check in the more rural areas near you, thru the phone book, online and also at small town auto repair/auto parts/auto body and engine building businesses, you are bound to find some employees already involved in the sport.
