Your new fish have a parasite known as ich. It is very common and it is easy to treat. You need to add salt to the water at a rate of 1 tablespoon per litre. When you perform water changes you must remember to add the salt to the new water too. You need to leave the salt in the water until at least 10 days after seeing the last signs of disease as the parasite eggs will still be in the substrate. There are also treatments that you can buy at your pet shop if you prefer. If you do not treat then your fish will probably die.

Your fish most likely have Ichthyopthirius, or commonly known as ICK. There are remedies at stores that sell fish and aquariums.I dont think your average pet store will have quality treatments. This disease can spread fast and will come back if not treated correctly. I used to treat my aquariums with malakite green, it too can be bought at an aquarium store.
As far as gold fish go, I dont think they thrive in temperatures the same as tropical fish. I was under the impression that gold fish need a cooler temp to do well in. Thats why its not a good idea to have gold fish in the same tank as tropical fish.

If your fish has a small dots like salt, it is ICK. If it is a big spots it is fungus. Both disease has treatment for sale in any pet store. Plus add 1 tea spoon of salt into your tank for every 10 gallon of water and raise the temp to 85 degree. Hope it helps

It sounds like your fish have ick. You need to go to the fish store buy some type of ick treatment, I have used ick attack. Raise the temperature of the tank to about 83 degrees. The treatment may take a while but it should work.

your fish have ich, do not panic this is easy to solve.First separate them from the rest of the fish, if possible put them in a sepparate container since it is not good to medicate your main tank if your other fish are not sick. Then use life guard to cure he ich and after it is gone tae a day or two to check your goldfish, if it doesnt come back put them back in the main tank, but first change 50% of the water on the main tank.

It depends on the size of the spots. Small ones the size of a grain of salt is ich/ick. Larger mold like ones are are Columnaris,or a fungus.

In the case of ich their are a number of meds at your fish store that will work. In the case of Columnaris a medication that treats gram negative bacteria is needed. I recommend Jungle labs fungus Eliminator (not clear) as it will kill fungus and columnaris.

it is ick go to pet store and get ick treatment, not walmart as its a watered down version and it will take longer to treat. its caused by stress and cold water don't change water temp unless you keep heater in tank always also other reasons you might need to do more than one treatment but it will clear up don't panic just do treatments after treatments done add aquarium salt to the tank
