The Aurora Borealis in the night sky, a shimmering, sparkling curtain of rainbow lights, dancing, hovering above the graceful curve of a snow covered hill. This is in my mind's eye, I have only seen pictures. I can only imagine the breathtaking, awe-inspiring beauty of the Aurora Borealis and hope someday to be able to go see this happen.
The most amazing thing I have seen in person was a lenticular cloud over Mt. Rainier in Washington state,,,,, I was driving to work at the Old Soldier's Home in Orting, and there's a stretch of road where you have an unobstructed view of the mountain, which in itself is awesome, rising from the ground like an explosion of majesty. It was sunrise, so the bottom of the cloud was lit in a fiery orange, and it looked just like a giant UFO saucer had crashed into the mountain with flames underneath. It was so awesome I nearly drove off the road looking at it. I was changed somehow, all day, after seeing something so magnificent. Wish I'd had a camera.

I was fishing in a boat, on a lake with my friend when night approached. I never saw the sky so full of stars as I noticed that night. A true feeling of serenity came over me like never before or ever again!
