My English teacher (who coincidentally played John in a Beatles cover band) was sitting in his chair in a catatonic state. Somebody turned on the news link in our classroom and it was the only story on
The man had a mind with the most empathetic view of the world and its problems. He didn't wait for someone else to say, "this needs to change" He put his views beautifully into words and and sang them in a way the world could understand.
Mark David Chapman should have received the death penalty for extinguishing such a light spot in the world
If John was still alive, he'd be in his 60's probably protesting the Middle Eastern war along with a malay of other plights on the planet. His wisdom could bring peace to so many

I was at home. It was on the evening news I had no idea what the drama was about. I didn't understand the gravity of the situation. I was just four years old! I watched E True Hollywood story with his story and the last days leading to his death. It's sad.

Dec. 1980. i became 12. so some distance as i became worried, The Beatles have been specifically sluggish love ballads and trippy-dippy-hippie anthems we sang in grammar college. purple Floyd became far greater significant to my age, having released The Wall (we don't desire no guidance!) in basic terms the previous year. i became vaguely conscious McCartney and Lennon had solo careers, yet McCartney became the only with the pop sensibility, at an analogous time as John and Yoko had sunk into that relative obscurity of their inaccessible artsy-fartsy scene, as so brutally parodied via Barney Gumble and his avant garde Asian female pal interior the Simpsons episode "The Be Sharps".

I was home. My brother and I were the only ones who cared. I saved all the newspapers I could get.
