Fiona is thinking of an autobiography. A biography is about another person. It helps to know where and when the person was born and something about background. Economic and social circumstances, a little history of the parents. Schooling, growing up, cultural, political, religious influences. Anything which makes the person interesting and influenced that person's life. Then you can start on the meat of the biography. Beware of upsetting relations, former employers, friends. Always get permission to make references. I f the person is still alive, you'll have to get clearance from them too. Not sure what you mean by 'It's just for me.'

A friend of mine did..the same just for himself...he started it off in diary form by writing early memories of childhood friends, events and his parents and just expanded from there. Don't rush it. Start keeping a daily diary of things that affect you daily...family and Friends. Funny, sad and life changing moments. Write about yourself and be honest. What makes you tick, if it's just for you, you can be as personal as you like. He didn't write things in any specific order, just as he remembered things and when he thought he was ready put it all together.

in that case, if its just for you, it would be considred an autobirography, a Biography is when you write about someone elses life, an autobiography is when you write about your own life and experieces.

one important thing: "be honest in everything you put in"
you must know what kind of biography of yourself do you want to write. is it about your career, your love-life or what? if it is about you career, then just put it in. if it is about your love experience, then just put about you first kiss, first date, everythin..

just write about your own life.your ups & downs.but if u want people to buy it,it has to be interesting.
