Computer software (or simply software) refers to one or more computer programs held in the storage of a computer for some purpose. Program software performs the function of the program it implements, either by directly providing instructions to the computer hardware or by serving as input to another piece of software.
Hardware is equipment such as fasteners, keys, locks, hinges, wire, chains, plumbing supplies, tools, utensils, cutlery and machine parts, especially when they are made of metal. In the United States, hardware has been traditionally sold in "hardware stores".

software : means we can make the software with our requirements just like u r operating system what u r using in u r system it is very simple and good to know and easy. hardware means which is used to run the software. means we can say computer parts, just like moniter and keyboard,mouse, these all are hardware parts, software enginner they do the software as per as the client requirement. suppose one company having the 100 employees that company want their attendent daily so software people do the some programme for the company attendence in the computer system not on the notebook. thisis the software. and hardware means the computer seeing parts.

A software interrupt is when a software counter or timer reaches its activating value which could be zero for a countdown timer or some value for a counter. A hardware interrupt is an interrupt from an external source such as someone pressing a reset button, or a movement sensor being triggered, or a switch on a door being activated.

Softwares refer to computer programs that tells your hardware what to do. Without software your hardware won't work properly or won't work at all. Example: You have a video card(hardware) but it doesn't come with a driver or installation software, what happens is that your computer will not recognize it properly or you will not fully utilize all of its intended functions.
