I hope it is candle wax and not surf wax. It would be great if you could put the screen in the freezer (I know a fish house with a big walk in freezer, lol) then it would come right off but, you gotta lay the screen down and pour boiling water on it until it all melts off. Get that water boiling like a witch's brew; lots of it...darn trickers not treaters.

That happened to me. A candle dripped down form the top of my tv . Use a tool called widget, if you can't find do to hardware or auto store and get a razor tool for removing reg or inspection stickers, use very gently as not to scratch the screen, this will remove 99% of it then wipe firmly with a dry wash cloth, small area at a time til ni residue is left. Hope this helps.

Put a sponge or rag in your hand.Stand directly in front of the screen. Rub in a circular motion.Rub clockwise for Wax on , counter clockwise for wax off.

scrape cold wax , with a razor balde ,then get it as warm (hair dryer is good)as possible and wipe it off witha loose weave cloth
dont use a wire brush you will scratch the glass

try a fine wire brush. Maybe when its cold so it will just flake off?

Try using a hair dryer. or rubbing it with an ice cube and chipping it off
