First, this is probably a Coleman furnace. (Possibly an Intertherm.) It has a thermal disc, or clicks-on, for a fan control, lower limit, and upper limit. Some are adjustable but usually only replacements are this way. After much use they become heat fatigued and can be very erratic in there operation. I always recommend replacing all three when one goes bad. Kind of like leaving a weak link in a chain. The ones left unchanged will be next to fail. You also want to make sure your blower fan is clean and the fins are free from build-up. This slows air flow and can cause furnace to cycle on the limit switch. Always best to call a heating and AC service person (HVAC) seasonally to service your equipment. Remember, a broken AC is uncomfortable but a broken furnace can kill you!

Your furnace has a high temperature limit switch that is adjustable and it is either set too low or faulty. It also has an auto or man setting one way of checking it would be to set it to MAN

sounds like a typical gun furnace.have it looked by a heating and a/c guy. i had one and they are bad about water in fuel and filter getting gummed up with trash and old fuel that has become thick.also sample the fuel to see if there is trash in it. if your tank is old i bet there is a half inch of water and gunk in the bottom.
