The problem with UFOs in general,, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
If aliens have visited this planet they seem to only abduct redneck gomers who love attention.
There are only two credible cases of abduction that I know of
1. the Betty and Barney Hill case from the fifties,,,look into it
2.The Travis Walden case,, Hollywood made a movie,, fire in the sky, but it was inaccurate to the actual story
As far as physical evidence there are a few cases, 1 of course is Roswell but over the years it has been twisted by so much cover up and disinformation that we may never know the truth,, the other involved something crashing in new England, but I do not know the whole story
the simple fact is,, if aliens have and continue to visit this planet we really do not have enough evidence to prove is conclusively.

Back in the 1960's a friend and I were walking down a country road in Northern Illinois, Barrington area. We saw this strange object doing strange things in the sky. It was moving in ways no airplane could. It was metallic but had an orange glow. Suddenly it moved away from us and literally disappeared. My friend and I compared notes and we were both relieved it never got close to us. Years later I told this story to a man who was an FAA guy for the military. He told me of several stories of things he'd seen on radar, and jets scrambling to intercept a UFO. So yes I do believe it's a possibility. But when you would consider the technology, they are more likely just keeping an eye on us. To think we are the only ones in the Universe is a bit like thinking in Columbus's day that you'll fall off the earth because it's flat.

UFO's and astronomy do not relate. Doesn't Chicago have a telescope/astronomy division/ University of Illinois?

DUDE, IF ANYONE COULD ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS, ROSWELL WOULDN'T NEED TO BE THERE. AND IT WOULDN'T BE THE U.S. GOVERNMENT'S MOST GUARDED SECRET EITHER.
