Only unless he wants to understand her and that she is open with him in the first place.

Men can understand women but it does take effort and a commitment and a willingness to want to understand her. More men are beginning to understand women than ever before even though there are always going to be differences between the sexes - that will always be that way to some level. But we live in far more enlightening times and there is a lot more information around about the habits and behaviours of women more than any other time in history.

A woman is more emotional and largely because she is taught from an early age that this is acceptable to show emotions wherease, men are taught to be more in control of their feelings. It is natural for both sexes to express their feelings whether they are a man or a woman and a man who cries, is truly a strong man because he isn't afraid of showing his vulnerability.

A man has to want to be open to exploring his own feelings before he explores those of the woman. This is what makes men undertsand women far more than if they are shut-down from their own feelings.

It depends on what traits you are speaking of. If it is just the physical aspects of being a woman, there is no way for you to know. However, if what you are seeking is their emotions and thoughts, get yourself some good female friends (keeping it platonic-no sexual aspects) and ask them tons of questions!!!!!

Men will never completely understand women and vice-a-versa.

But, we can come close and learn from each other. Reading books and communicating honestly is a good place to start.

I personally like the book "His Needs, Her Needs". Try it out.

if men got over their macho ways and let themselves be more sensitive, they would have no problem understanding women.
when a woman talks to you quit what your doing , look at her and listen, don't be afraid to talk about your feelings (contrary to what guys think,it doesn't make you less of a man to do that.

Aware men understand more that what you'd imagine, or would like to think. Granted, they're in the vast minority.

Respect them and open up to them about your emotions. Don't act like the typical guy.
