well alot of cities have adult education to help you prep for them & if you are missing alot of highschool credits this way is easier but if you are cose in your high school credits getting a high school diploma is easier

Well I dropped out of school in grade 11, then took my GED a couple years later and it wasn't that hard. If you live in Canada there is a really good study guide at any bookstore that will help you prepare for it, just ask one of the employees there.
When I took it there were 2 seperate tests that each took maybe 1.5 hrs at the most. I found them quite easy and have never heard of anyone failing. I then was able to get more upgrading and go to two seperate colleges and take some university courses. It is well worth getting. I know where I live it is only around $50 to take the test. Good luck!

depends on you really...when you go to sign up, normally the school offers classes.. you go in and take a pre-test.. from there they decide what classes you may need to take, if any, if not you go straight to the test, if so, you take some classes, then take another pre-test before your actual exam. I took the pre-test for classes, they said I didn't need classes, sent me upstairs to take the "official" pre-test.. passed that and within two weeks was scheduled for the actual test. It depends on what you remember from school. My hubby is going to classes right now, it's tougher on him, he was born in another country, recently became a citizen, so now he wants to get a US diploma.

Not very. My sister didn't go to school past 6th grade and she passed it with flying colors.
