attempting to launch an online radio station specifically for Teens. Does anyone know of any music charts or online surveys that tracks what 13-19 yr olds listen to or want to hear??

a lot of teens like rock, but in my town no one listens it.

depends where your launching the radio station and who YOU are trying to target, within teens there is not one genre of music which all teens listen to. If you are launching it in the UK i would suggest general pop/chart music but then again new bands and alt bands that will not scare them off-the kooks etc. if you can also get pre releases it will also boost your listeners immensly; bands like plus 44(x blink 182 members) and new albums from bands like the used etc.
however in the states its probably a completely different ball game but the mod rock bands are very popular- im 16 and the bands me and most of my friends listen to are:

comparable right here. i'm a fifteen year previous lady and that i specifically hear to usa. I even have some what some human beings would call classic rock too, yet specifically usa. the main performed artists on my ipod: George Strait Jason Aldean Rodney Atkins Brad Paisley Alan Jackson The RoadHammers David Alan Coe Hank Williams II Hank Williams III ----(humorous stuff) George Canyon Garth Brooks Josh Turner Josh Gracin Little great city Craig Morgan Dierks Bentley All my acquaintances hear to that new decision Rock stuff.....each-as quickly as-in-a-at an analogous time as an ok music will come out, yet many times that track in basic terms gets on my nerves. and that i do no longer even understand the rationalization that rap is seen track, its in basic terms a gaggle of gangster-desire-a-be's asserting what they'd do in the event that they even have been a gangster. LoL---thats in basic terms my opinion.

you can't just ask that question flat on... because different teens listen to different music... some would prefer upbeat, techno songs, others prefer rock and metal...some would even orefer easy listening and some likes parody...
i personally likes the following..

Like, do Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, American Rejects, ect. all depends on what type of music your gonna put on.

mostly what that bunnie said...but im 13 and i listen to rock and heavy metal....not new things, but old stuff like glam and hair metal..motley crue...guns n roses...poison....most of other teens at my school are listening to total CRAP

Rock/Heavy metal/Other types of metal/Emo/Screamo/and someother stuff....and yeah...R&B AND HIP HOP AND RAP SUCK!!!
