I may scanned pages in gif format and I want to convert then into .doc format. How can I complete this task?
any suggestions

You need some software of a class known as "OCR" (optical character recognition)...

Many scanners come with some entry-level version for free as part of the bundled software (like PaperPort or Xerox, etc.)

If you need this and did not get it with your scanner, just do a quick search for "OCR software"

You need OCR (Optical Character Recognition software to change the pictorial representations of characters into Editable text. Many times, this type of software comes packaged with a new scanner.

with your scanner u have received some OCR Software, load it and use that s/w to convert your gif to .doc for that from your software open your .gif file then convert it to .doc which u can find in menu.
