Koi can live hundreds of years but they really need a pond of around 1000 gallons. Goldfish which are related to koi, both are related to carp, can live more then 20 years. They are also a lot more work then what most people think, they need a big tank and very good filtration. Even with those you still need to keep up with the water changes. If taken care of properly they can become very large, single tails can get around 12" and fancy tails can become around 8". Most of the smaller fish like guppies, mollies and platies live the short lives of only a couple years but they also breed very easy so the tank always looks full of fish. Bigger fish like angels and cichlids can live for more then 10 years. Just look around at fish stores or online and find ones that you like, then do a little research on them and see if they are something you would like.

While searching for your answer, I come across this:

Pretty interesting...
Then I found this:
Well I guess , it's too bad for you because goldfish are the ones with the longest life expectancy around 15 years. If you want to choose a different long living fish you can choose from : neon tetras, angelfish, Oscars and plecostomus. They all have the life expectancy of around 10 years. I think neon tetras would be a good choice for a small sized tank. About loneliness I would it's a n open question since the social life of fish is under a lot of research. According to this article fish are more intelligent then we now and they do live in social patterns which I guess would lead to the fact that like a lot of animals we know loneliness hurts.

IN the aquarium, Goldfish and Kois are known to live really long. I think the record for Kois is about 60 yrs odd. However Goldfish and Kois are known to live about 30yrs average.
In the open waters, Sturgeons are known to live the longest. 100 yrs ids not uncommon for them.
Apart from these, in aquariums, catfish and loaches are known to live longer comparatively than other fish.
