What's strange about it? He can be fixing up more than just around the house. If she doesn't have a husband what does it matter who she has staying with her? She could have him there for sex, to fix up the house, or for protection.

well first of all you need to see the work he is doing and weither or not he is being paid. do not jump to any conclusions as he could really be doing his job!
