Where is The CO detector located,, Try relocating it, but buy another and put it in the place the other one was... and see if the new one goes off. I know this sounds stupid, but do not just blow this off as a bad detector... Yes Moisture can set off detectors,,, is it mounted on duct work to sense air moving past it inside the duct, ,, and a humidifier is down stream from it... is it near a bathroom and getting moist air after a shower ,,,are you pulling outside air in to the house when your blower starts,, are you burning wood in a fireplace,,, is your house built on a hill and higher then the neighbors house next to you and have a attic vent on his side of your house and he is burning wood..are you burning a lot of candles,,, Any other gas appliances that use gas,, hot water heater ,,gas logs in a fireplace,,, car running in an attached garage..??? If your in good terms with neighbor,,, see if you can put it in his house and see if it goes off there,, all else fails,, call a heating contractor, or maybe even the fire department... Good luck,, I hope some of this has helped,,, Bob G

i'm a sprint rusty in this as that's been to 3 years with the aid of fact I worked on them (26) yet there became a administration outfitted into the gadget to close the warmth pump all the way down to maintain it from freezing up. whilst the temperature gets to low outdoors (40) it won't paintings. whilst the pump is going right into a opposite cycle to warmth the domicile the evaporator coil interior the domicile acts like the condenser coil outdoors does interior the summertime time, it supplies off warmth and that heats the domicile. Your electric powered furnace is used to warmth the domicile interior the iciness. warmth pumps are actually not used or should not be used interior the northern climates. i'd advise which you examine the e book that got here with the unit, it would clarify how the gadget works. And via now you're able to be thoroughly at a loss for words.

if it is electrical then it should not go set the corbon monoxide off. is there anything in the house that has a flame that is effecting this e.g candles?
there may be carbon monoxide in the room already and all the heater does is heat thet air. if this air already has carbon monoxide it will raise with the heat of the heater there fore making it cirulate in the room try to open all windows for a day then try again and see if the moitor of carbon monoxide detects this again

Check your system to see if you have in line electric duct heaters, they use for additional heating along with heat pump for large areas or upstairs in house, could be dust burning off, a heat pump works off a reversing vavle on the compresser to use hot gas to produce heat, if by chance that reversing valve is leaking it would be outside, call a tech or first change the detector, i have heard of just air movement setting them off. good luck

I would try replacing the detector. If a new one also beeps , it is possible that the movement of warm air is circulating fumes from another source. I would not put this off.

heat pumps need a back up system are you sure you don't have a gas furnace it sounds like you may have a faulty gas furnace and/or a faulty gas appliance of some sort you need to get this checked asap.
