Hell no!

What we need is a more powerful United Nations with the power to make action when nessecary!!

But it should be truly democratic! All decisions should need backing from the majority (51%) and there should be absolutely No veto option and bulying from powerful members! All members should be equal!

I don't think the world's problems will ever be fully sorted. A benevolent dictator would certainly be able to make decisions without having to waste time on meetings etc. However even if they were a good man or woman, once they died the political system would be easy for another, less benevolent, dictator to take over (happens throughout history, there'll be one really strong ruler but the very fact they were so strong means the country will fall apart once they're not there to control it, i think an example would be genghis khan - he was hardly a nice guy but he was a strong ruler). So power cannot be centred in one human, it causes an overreliance on the individual that cannot be sustained beond a few decades and it weakens the state. Democracy has its flaws but is the best system i can think of.

Benevolent dictator that's an oxymoron. Power corrupts. When a dictator seizes power, the rush plays tricks on the mind, and he suddenly thinks he's all powerful. Then the problems start again. It's like George Orwells' "Animal Farm" novel.

No. Benevolent dictatorships don't stay that way and there are nothing anyone can do about it. Remember, the dictator makes the rules including the secession plan.

dictator - is not the wisest man in the world.
therefor, his assistants will be those which will please him more...
the only wish for them - because of the chaose and difficulties in life. and that - he - or any one else - will not solve.
the modern life are too complicted compare to the past.
and no dictator will do something bettter. they just spread dreams..

True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.
Franklin D. Roosevelt
32nd president of US (1882 - 1945)

The government consists of a gang of men exactly like you and me. They have, taking one with another, no special talent for the business of government; they have only a talent for getting and holding office.
H. L. Mencken

Yes. I volunteer to be Empress of the Universe!

First order of business: Put Birth Control pills in the drinking water. People will have to make application for the antidote.

Second: Prozac in the water too.
