I do need to know. My goldfish is under two months and I want to know it's sex. Don't answer if you're not going to give an appropriate answer!

On some fish it is easier then others. Take a look at the vent (where the poo comes out), if it looks like it's sticking out a little big then it is probably a female, if it looks more flat then it is probably a male.

With goldfish it is nearly impossible to tell the sex even when they are adults. Sometimes during breeding season males develop growths on their heads. Apart from that there is no other way to tell the sex of goldfish.
