Everytime the parties are described it is always "the rich and powerful Reupblicans" and "The Democrats"? I am a Republican, middle class working woman, from the South.Without exception, my friends are all middle class working Americans who vote Republican. The Democrats that are "trying" to make life better for us all are people who are beyond wealthy! John Kerry, who is married to the widow of the Heinz billionaire, Barbara Streisand, Oprah, The Clintons. Ted Kennedy the list goes on. These people are all beyond wealthy. Sure they want to "make" the world better for the "little" guy, but they want to use the little guy's money to do it!!! Seems to be two types of Dems. The ones who have money but don't want to use their money they want to use ours, and the kind that want to take the money i.e. through govt. programs etc. Remember there are middle class in both parties.

Oh, don't get me wrong, there are just as many wealthy Republicans. The point is that lately, every time I see a question on here about the election or the parties and it is posted by a Democrat it almost always starts out with "the wealthy Republicans". My point is that I don't think that in the wealth arena the Republicans have a monopoly. Ther are rich, midle class and poor in each party.

Okay Bushsuks, first of all I don't agree with everything that the President and my party do or don't do across the board. I am a very intelligent(although you wouldn't guess it from my spelling above) woman. No party is ever completely right in everything they do. I support the war on terror because we were attacked on our soil on 9/11. I believe that had something not been done about it at the time we could possibly fighting to survive in our own country. It's a very real possibility. Watch the movie Red Dawn. Gives you pause for thought.Secondly what do you want us to do about abortion? I am against it except in the case of rape, incest, or to save the womans life. But women want abortion and it will not go away over night. All parties are immoral to some extent let me refer you back to the "best" Democraptic President we have ever had and his cigar and his dalliance with Miss Monica in the White house. I simply vote for who I believe to be the lesser of two evils .

'wealthy republicans' is just a stupid phrase that Democrats have invented. You are absolutely right about the Democratic celebs and politicians being million/billionaires (you forgot to mention Pelosi). My guess would be that there are more Democratic billionaires than Republican because they have 90% of the celebrities.

Also, I am Republican and have concerns about paying bills every month and the same holds true for the majority of my friends and acquaintances. Also, my Democratic friends are in the same income range as the Republicans.

The Dems just want to spew forth about those 'awful rich people' when they are the 'awful rich people'.

Why can't they just state their position honestly w/o all the rhetorical lies? (Because the general public is gullible and fall into thes hateful lines too readily.)

Vote who serves your district well, is the key? A lot of campaigning is garbage soundbites for most of it. Also, the Evangelical republican base turns me off. If a Goldwater Republican runs for a office I vote for that. Libertarian Republicans becoming endangered species, but I think republican gonna lose west over time, and pick up the Midwest and south in the future actually because that were the social conservatives really are. I agree with the limousines Liberals statements democrats always raise taxes historically.

I wish they just be more up front about taxes and where they stand. Make it easier to know which democrats to vote for, and which ones not too. Republcians its pretty easy to pick out the evangelical republicans and not vote for them types, and vote libertarian

It's interesting you list a few wealthy Democrats but only middle class Republicans. This administration has run up more debt (i.e. spent your money or better stated you kids, their kid, etc( than all prior administrations added together.

If spending our money is something that bothers you your picking on the wrong party.
I'm a Rep. by the way although at the moment I'm not proud of it.

I agree its not the party that decides the class, they are two seperate entities, as well as sexual orientation, parties are humans of all sorts that have opened their eyes to the opposing party and decided their parties values are more trust worthy and more along their beliefs. For me I cant vote for a party thats issues change like underwear, they never tell you their solutions just whine and point fingers. If the democrats take majority in both it will become like a little hen party, complaining and pointing fingers but nothing done, oh , no thats wrong our taxes would be through the roof and of course more people will be homeless while their eating at their five star restaurants.....

I see you have bought into the rhetoric that repuglicans spread about democrats that just isn't true, to be middle class and vote repuglican is just not smart. Look back at every decision that George Bush and the majority congress has made and you will see a pattern of deceit and a favoritism for the very rich. Even his decision to go to war was outcome based, not in the success of the war but the profits from it. They sell you on their moral, religious values, and their pro life stance. But just look at the corruption in this supposedly "moral" party. Nothing done to end abortion. They play lip service to these things but that is as far as it gets.

It is called "Biting the hand that feeds you."

The wealth of the Liberal community is on par with that of conservatives. Because the Media is one area that Liberals dominate, the message that is blasted across the country on a daily basis carries their lyrics and music.

It is not a real threat for those with strong minds and the ability to think. You know, the "smart and educated" people that Kerry mentioned last week.

Do not lose faith or hope in our great nation...at least not yet.

It's all about power. Who has it and what is the best message that will attain it. If that message gets your vote then that's what they are going to sell.
