i absoloutely love the Gallaghers they are fabulous and i think that the programme is the best thing that has been on the telly in years. When i was a child my best friend Rita was in a family where as everything the Gallaghers do bears me so much in mind to her family. You know what every1 used to say to me eee why do u hang around with her, but you know what i thought the family were the best thing on earth. Im 28 now, but i would still love a shower like the one that they had where you pull a dart out of a pipe in the bathroom, it was fab lol.

I grew up on a council estate "oop North" that was bursting at the seams with families very similar to the Gallaghers, in fact, my family was one of them. Living on subsistence benefits on a sink estate instills a survival mentality - a morality formed by environment (or something), outside of the norm but equally valid. We are led to believe that we have no future and will die in the same house on the same estate after a life of constant struggle. I escaped but do not deny my background.

Oh yeah, there are a couple of families who live quite near us and you just can't believe what they are like.
