The best place I know is in you own brain. You don't want something someone else has thought of. Nothing worthwhile happens instantly. Give it some time and think about it. This from an old fart who has been around a while.

If you want to register a domain name , then create a name which reflects the nature of your site. And search the availability of that name on sites like http://www.networksolutions.com/
Then make any changes to the name if it is not available by appending or prepending a few different words to it.
