You can't shrink your mp3's without losing quality. You could convert your video files into mp4 format to make them playable on portable devices (Ipod, PSP etc) that would reduce their size by about 40% and you would get a very good picture on small screens. Look for media file converters and try different formats and see what you'll prefer.

if you shrink you loose some quality its inevitable however for mp3 minimum acceptable quality is approx 128kb/sec but a lot of programs (itunes wmp) by default rip then to 320kb/sec wich isnt really needed lol so you could shrink those files down

You don't shrink them, you compress them. Windows has a compression tool inside or you should be able to download the program from Microsoft.
