BORING!

Thats taking the cyber age too far! Theres nothing like being out in the crisp autmumn air watching the display! Who wants to be stuck in front of a computer screen?

Although given that I'm heavily pregnant and BF is working this Sunday I won't get to go to a real bonfire this year. I might have to make do with the virtual one after all!

pathetic indeed.

Even more pathetic is the adding of heaters to give the sensation of the fire's heat.

Now if this were on a spaceship somewhere in deep space or on a ship on the ocean I could understand but on terra firma it just comes off as public safety idiocy. It's bad enough you can buy already prepare s'mores without toasting the marshmellows!

It's not so much the virtual bonfire that's pathetic, it's the pedantic rules and regulations that are endemic in today's society designed (allegedly!) to 'protect us'. How on earth people of my generation managed to survive our childhood and adventurous teens is beyond me.

1. Why bother even celebrating it at all? Who cares...and,

2. It is TERRIBLE for the environment dude....you might say, 'oh, but it is a nice evening for the children', but if you are really thinking about the well-being of your children, you will think of the future air / chemicals you are depositing into the atmosphere that they will then have to breathe.

Its true man....

Oh, and we have had 'virtual fires' in our living rooms for years...
