Does lighting affect the activity of my hamster?

I have read that hamsters are nocturnal but my hamster only becomes active at around 10pm. At the time he comes out, the lights around his tank have already beened turned off for an hour.

Any ideas?

it might efect the activity of your amster becsues it may be scared of the lightning

Yes, it does (so get rid of that disco ball in your room).
