I've seen many cross the sky
colors flapping from dusk till dawn
then I looked down and sighed
at the butterfly I stepped on

Butterfly
Wings glow in the sun,
As it sheds it's cocoon,
And enters the world of beauty.
Colors shimmer,
Landing on flowers,
Children chasing the creature of joy.
Travels along into the bright blue sky,
A vision of loveliness and mystery,
So the butterfly flies.
Over the garden it goes,
It's new life an open sky ahead of it,
The butterfly flies.
It's beady eyes aglow,
It's wings peacefully moving,
The wonderful butterfly flies.
It lands near me,
Joyous and pretty,
Resting for more unique adventures.
As it sits, that beautiful being,
It seems to glow,
And to be thinking of life in it's small summer world,
This butterfly.

How to write POETRY.
No infallible advice can be given on how to write a poem. Poets develop their own approaches in time. Nonetheless, here are a few exercises to generate the raw copy.

NOTE :
Though this article contains some advice on how to write poems ,it is by no means intended to show "how to become a poet", even less "how to become a GOOD poet". .Neither does it cover EVERY aspect of writing poetry. It is intended to help people who HAVE to write poetry - for class or to impress someone maybe.
The results will probably not be "great art", but o.k. for people who otherwise would have been completely lost.

Iridescent beauty captured on earths gentle breeze.
Gently like angels wings your colours touch my skin.
Delicate and vulnerable,
Colours that are light itself.
Nothing compares to the perfection of your creation as you pass.
Caught by the wind you vanish as quickly as you came to my window.
Maybe tomorrow I'll see the ever changing beauty that holds the light and life of the sun.
I love butterflies and dragonflies...my photo library is full of them. Seen some beauties this year!
