Everytime he clicks onto the net a message apperas saying program not responding end now. Any ideas ?

Not a clue. What country are you in? Are you on dial up? DSL (cable), ADSL connected to a phone line? What computer? What operating system. Electric or gas?......

Sounds like a problem with the browser, not the net. Check your browser program, and update it if possible.

What program is your friend using in the 1st place? Maybe your friend should perform antivirus scans just to be sure it's clean of any viruses/trojans.

well alot can be wrong i suggest uninstall and reinstall the internet provider software and get all microsofts updates..turn off you firewall if you have one to see if that works..well there is a few to try..good luck..there i also the system restore to a earlier date sometimes that might work

Don`t fiddle you with only crash and burn get her to phone her Internet provider and ask for technical support they will sort it for her.

swich off all the plugs at the pc and wiggl the wiers
