Let me know what you think of a "black" James Bond, is it a good idea or is it a bad idea?

Not at all. If you were a true Bond fan, you would know that Bond has to be from the United Kingdom/Australian in decent. It is an English spy, not an American thug.
I would be happy with a black Bond if he was from England though! Color has no relevance: quality of character and genuine accent are the guidelines!

lots of talk about a black James Bond today...hmmmm. Don't think Diddy should do it, I mean it should be an actor plays the part not a music producer. But why do we want a black James Bond? Room for a black action hero certainly- Carl weathers in ACTION JACKSON was a disaster but the XXX series was a valiant attempt. Of course the master was Richard Roundtree as SHAFT. Personally think the Bond franchise is a bit tired

Diddy is so insanely cheesy that, HELL NO, he should not play Bond. I'd rather see any other black man play Bond. How about my neighbor from Liberia? Anyone but Diddy. Ick. I mean, techinically, Bond is a white character, but it could be pulled, I suppose-- with a British actor who is not totally stupid looking and tasteless. Then maybe Justin Timberlake can play the next Shaft.

Diddy can't act. Just cause Bond's lifestyle of beautiful women, grand casinos, awesome cars and gadgets, beautiful locales, martinis might mirror Diddy's lifestyle, that doesn't mean he can be the next Bond. He's just not suave enough, and that is a true Bond, a charming suave MAN (yes man in caps!)

The day when a movie where Diddy plays 007 won't be about a black man reinforcing black stereotypes while playing a white role, then I would like to see that movie. Until then, it would just be another way for the white media masters to limit the popular perception of black americans

James Bond should be played by Wesley Snipes. He can use the same line he used in that airplane movie Passenger 57.. "Always bet on black" at the roulette wheel. That would be classic. James Bond should be American also

There's already a 'blonde' Bond. So I don't think a 'black' Bond will be a bad idea. Maybe after a few years.

Why not?If the script says that there are many different James Bonds like for example the famous Lassie was played by 10 different dogs used in different scenes and we couldn`t realise the difference... But here all the differnces are obvious!
