No it's probably time for a rational review of drug laws. But don't count on our politicians to propose changes. They can't be seen as "soft on crime". Better to build more jails and get reelected than to solve our society's problems.

There are no evil or bad drugs. People have been using drugs for thousands of years, and WILL continue to do so. Most don't realize, but marijuana wasn't even illegal in America until 1937. We built what is arguably the greatest nation in the history of the world, while pot was legal, AND used in America.

Some Illegal drugs no. Some of them yes. Most of the robberies in my county are directly related to the use and sale of Meth. PCP has caused many violent crimes. Extremely addictive drugs such as Meth. Coke, and others cause many people to resort to robbery, theft, and occasionally murder to acquire them when they no longer have the monetary ability to buy them. I know people that have sold everything they own to get Meth, and then start stealing from others to keep the habit happy.

Our government will decide what the meaning of illegal is. Drugs are illegal because our government demonizes them and then gets the public to support laws making them illegal. Illegal immigrants on the other hand are doing jobs Americans won't do and hence they are guest workers who are not breaking the law. Is smoking a joint after work any worse than someone who goes to dinner and consumes four cocktails and then gets in their car and drives home endangering others? It's a bunch of hypocrites passing laws to stomp on your rights. Get out and vote on Tuesday.

The minute you take illegal drugs you are committing a crime. Illegal means against the law so therefore by using the drug you have already broke the law.
Kind of conundrum isn't it?

Some are, some are not, alcohol is a drug but not illegal, but causes a lot of death, pain, and injury on our highways. Pot is illegal and it slows you down to where you are peaceful. All the other drugs that are very addictive, sure. You are addicted, you need your drugs. you will steal to get them, you might even hurt someone else to get them, because they have you.

You'll get treated worse and racked more than a child mole, ill alien, terror, and esp an ill alien smuggler, oh and how could I forget TRAITOR! I guess putting the screws to someone who gets caught with an ill drug, big fines & rehab dues is more profitable than getting to the bottom of their 'PROBLEM'.
