Its all on preference. My husband and I prefer the Xbox over the Playstation, so we bought the xbox 360. That and its also cheaper. You could buy two 360s for the price of the ps3, or you could buy a xbox 360 and a yii and still have money left over. Youalso have to think about the games that your kids will be playing. Will they like the games that are only made for xbox, like halo or the ones for ps, resident evil? Then go from their... But they both are good, or should be good. Just go with what you can afford and what they would like and play more.
I do reccomend if you go with the 360 to get the one with the harddrive, it will be cheaper in the long run.

Xbox360 has more games for sale right now, but PS3 will be better, on graphics, speed, games, everything...
The price is hight but if u check the cost of any blue ray player it will be a great deal...

Those are both really high in price, i think the first XBox is great.

ps3 is too expensive. if u want more bang for your buck u should try nintendo wii
