What perfume to wear is a pretty personal choice. If she doesn't have a favorite, it could be tough. You could go to a store and smell a few but then they'll smell differently once someone wears them. If you don't mind ruining the surprise a bit, take her to the mall to Perfumania or a large department store and let her smell and pick a few she likes, then choose the one you like best out of those and go back and purchase it later. Or you could give her an IOU for a day of shopping and bottle of perfume. Maybe throw in lunch@ the mall!
If you're set on giving her perfume and don't want to let her have any idea, talk to a knowledgable salesperson about her hobbies and how she dresses, etc....they might be able to help you narrow your choices.

It really depends on what she likes. Take a trip to the mall and casually have her look at some and see what she likes. Don't do it too close to Christmas because it will be more obvious. You could also look through a Cosmo or Glamour magazine and most of the ones they have in there are pretty good and some have a sample of the smell...if you like it, she probably will too. Personally, I like Paris, Versace Bright Crystal, and anything from Victoria's Secret!

Unless you already know the brand she likes, don't get perfume!
There is nothing worse for a woman than getting a perfume that she hates!

If she already has a preferred brand, then purchase that. If she does not then buy her something name brand like Happy, J-Lo, Glow, Curious, etc. Be sure to buy something you will be able to tolerate.
