u must be careful & should consult ur Dr.
don't worry.. during pregnancy the baby is safe , but the risk of infection is DURING & AFTER LABOUR
Pregnant women with Whooping cough do not suffer from serious obstetrical complications. If, however, they are contagious at the time of delivery, they may infect the neonate immediately post partum
. Neonates are susceptible to infection and may become seriously ill with potentially fatal consequences. Neonatal whooping cough is frequently misdiagnosed, too.
The disease can be prevented by prophylactical administration of erythromycin to the neonate.
Neonate= newly born baby
post partum = after labour

i dont have whooping cough but i feel like it.ive had this awful cough for like a week now.my doc said unfortunetly pregnant women stay sicker longer because their immunities are lowered to protect the baby.the coughing itself wont hurt the baby.she just told me to watch out for alot of wheezing or shortness of breath.i know its awful but just hang in there and before you know it all will be well!!!

then call his office the nurse can tell you or an emergency room .or try using the web .put in search[ whooping cough and pregnancy].

you don't worry it is allergy. when a woman becomes pregnanat, she mostly becomes prey of it. It happens in such case. So it is not disease.
