Hi there-

The Sheraton is within walking distance to Navy Pier and Millenium Park. I have attached the web site below. I have stayed there for a long weekend with my husband and son (who was 10 at the time). The only think I didn't like was a lot of slamming doors in the early hours. BUT- the have very comfy beds!

Certainly, you can find numerous things to keep the family entertained and both Navy Pier and Millenium Park. Not knowing the ages- sex-interests of your children I can also suggest:

1. Bulls Game
2. Lunch at Harry Carreys
3. Many of our wonderful museums- Science and Industry- Natural History- Planetarium- Aquarium
4. Brookfield Zoo- a bit of a drive but better then Lincoln Park zoo
5. American Girl
6. ESPN Zone
7. John Hancock Observation Deck
8. Shopping
9. Lunch cruise on the river (board at Navy Pier). Lunch ones have many more children aboard then dinner ones.
10. Childrens museum at Navy Pier
11. IMAX at Navy Pier
12. Fun House at Navy Pier

I am also attaching a link for a program that offers discounted rates for 3-5-7 days for Chiacgo attractions. I haven't used it before- but will on my next long weekend. It gets you in to most of the attractions I have mentioned above.

I hope you have a great time in our city. If you want to post additiional questions- with more detail- I'll keep an eye on this subject for a few days.

Hope this has helped.

The Museum of Science and Industry and the Museum of Natural History...My kids loved both...
Then there is Shedd Aquarium which is small, easy to visit and if they like animals they will enjoy that also. (All three are close to each other).
Brookfield Zoo is also fantastic. but it is in the suburbs west of Chicago (worth the side trip though). If not, there is the Lincoln Park Zoo, but Brookfield is much better..
There are also the skyscrapers... Hancock on the near north side and have a look at the Water Tower while in that area, there is a small fire dep't. museum there that can be visited in a few minutes.
And the Sears Tower with its magnificent views in the loop area.

For evenings you have theaters on State St. check out what is playing, your hotel receptionist will give you info. If you're not staying at a hotel, check in internet... (It will depend on what part of the city you are closest to or interested in.)
Have a nice visit, Chicago is my favourite US city, I lived there several years!

French Fries - enjoyed via infants and Adults alike. 3.) Mac and Cheese - easily a toddler well known. You seize my glide good? As with the Adults, basically bypass on your community Deli and ask what form of Platter have they have been given for the holiday trips. I have been given myself final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days an entire platter of Ham and Cheese Sandwhich this is all of us's satisfaction. Chicago has so many great points of interest that I'm quite positive that whatever your interest - Chicago delivers. From Buckingham Fountain at Grant Park to the Museum of Science and Industry to the historic Watertower you'll be quite pleased, and at the same time, amazed by Chicago's many wonderful offerings.

Along Chicago's world-renowned lakefront great parks, museums, harbors and piers provide anchor to mesmerizing views and urban melody.

Chicago's suburbs, though vibrating to a slower tempo, are also rich in history and provide a broad scope of idyllic offerings -one being Morton's Arboretum and another - Chicago Botanic Gardens.
