Polyester is a synthetic fiber used for clothing due to its durable qualities that make it a long-lasting investment. Polyester apparel is strong, colorfast and resistant to wrinkles and most stains. Water-based liquids such as grape juice and blood don't usually damage polyester. However, oil-based stains such as lipstick and motor oil tend to last. The sooner you are able to remove a stain from polyester, the better the results will appear. 1. Scrub the stain immediately, or as soon as possible using a stain remover and warm water. 2. Treat the stain with a pre-wash soil remover before the wash. 3. Turn the garment inside out. 4. Put the garment in the washing machine with an all-purpose detergent on the warm water setting. 5. Add chlorine bleach if necessary, unless the washing instructions on the tag discourage it. 6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 if the stain persists. 7. Dry the garment at a low temperature on the tumble-dry setting to reduce shrinking.

Just cold water, lots of it. Put it in the kitchen sink, with the spot over the drain, and run a lot of cold water through it. When it stops getting lighter, take a little hand soap or dish detergent, rub it on and then pick the shirt up with the spot between your two hands and scrub one handful of fabric against another over the spot, rubbing the soap into it. Then rinse it well.
Do NOT use hot water. That will set the stain in the fabric.

put peroxide on the blood stains then launder as usual. Before you dry the shirt be sure to check to see if the blood came out. If not repeat the process.

full-strength hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle. spray the area as soon as possible. let it soak for awhile. spray again if it needs it. and also spray the reverse side of the soiled area. wash garment in cold water...let it air dry rather than putting it in the dryer...heat will set the stain. you can make a paste of peroxide and baking soda, and use a fingernail brush to really scrub tough blood stains. i used to be a vet tech, and we used this method all the time at work to get blood off our uniforms/scrubs.

"Blood Stains
Use a gentle shampoo to pour on stain and rub. Allow to soak in cold water. Then launder in cold water. Repeat if necessary. Alternatively, try Ivory or other "pure" soap. Enzyme detergents also work well on biological and protein-based stains like blood."
