i live in canada and i want to marry my girl friend but she is in australia, We are both 17 and i dont have a passport will i be aloud to go there to marry her...even at our age and without the passport?

Marriages between two people under the age of 18 are prohibited in Australia.
Marriage to an Australian citizen does not automatically guarantee entry of a citizen of another country to Australia. The Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs can advise on immigration to Australia.

No you can't. The legal marrying age in Australia for both men and women is 18. however, I believe it's younger in New Zealand, and I've read about couples who have gone there to marry then came back. What the heck are you both thinking anyway? 17????

In Australia you need parents permission and a real good reason to marry under 18. After that it's okay. You also won't be allowed to stay in oz till all the paperwork is through, which can take a very long time.

You have to be legally an adult (18) years. And besides isn't 17 a bit young to be thinking of marrying someone
