if the rabbits are so cute then perhaps they should have been left cute running round the field they were so happy living in! Yes like some people said animals are used for food and skin like cows, but thats the thing a cow is used for meat and leather so nothing goes to waste these people that kill the rabbits for fur skin them alive and probably just throw the rest of the animal away. How can you condone someone treating an animal like that, just so you can wear fur boots. The fur would never look as good on you as it did on the animal, and I bet you dont go round bragging about it to people where you live because I expect you would encounter alot of animosity about this! If you werea hunter and killed the animal for fur for warmth and meat for food thats different but you wouldn't even hve the guts to do that you just go out and buy it, what a sick person you are.

because people are killing animals just for their skin so someone like you can think they look nice in them! And about what you said if you didn't but them then the bunnies would have died for no reason WRONG if no one bought they boots then yes some animals would have died but far more would be alive because the sicko's that killed the bunnies their business would out of business beacuse they would be making no money, but as long as there are people stupid enough to want to wear fur from animals like rabbits then these people will always make money. Do you not have pets or your friends or family have pets? Bet they wouldn't want their animal killed so they could show off thre real fur! sad.

Nothing. Three things govern animal populations: food supply, disease and predation. Here in Pennsylvania, clearing woodland for farming and housing brought light to the ground. Even without the crops, that increases the ground level food supply. But predation in the form of hunting and trapping was common, although it did have to be regulated. Then the anti-fur movement started over 30 years ago and trappers got scarce. It didn't pay for all the work involved. That leaves disease as the limiting factor. We once thought of rabies as a "down south" disease, but it's become so common here that hunters are urged to get rabies pre-exposure shots now. I see a few reports each year of rabid animals attacking just in the local area. Canine distemper is up, too. Raccoons and skunks (both valuable furbearers) are important carriers. Opossums less valuable, but also carriers.
As for rabbits, they're usually raised. If you've spent the money to raise them, you don't throw the meat away. I can find dressed rabbit at the butcher. They can be exported, too--one of the reasons beef heart and tongues are so expensive now. Sheesh, they used to be cheap meats. But even chicken packers are throwing away less, by selling the feet on the Asian market.
So enjoy your boots. I bet they're really comfy warm, because rabbit fur is really soft.

it particularly relies upon on what do you think of of it. like once you %. up a fur coat and feeling particularly because of the fact of ways it makes you look, then decide for it. although greater than a number of human beings could be screaming their lungs out asserting donning genuine furs is faulty yet they eat 1000's of cows hen or different animal species common. i basically like the fur seems on my wintry climate coat, like that little fur lining on the hood yet different than that i'm no longer quite a fur individual. so i does no longer pay a lot on fur, extraordinarily genuine fur.

theres nothing wrong with wearing a by product of food !!! if the fur was from an animal that died for food theres nothing wrong with it!!! ppl wear leather shoes & you never hear anyone complaining about that !!
do the ppl that are against eat meat ??? its barbaric the way some animals are kept for food but you still go to macdonalds for a big mac !!!
the ppl that against have you ever run over a rabbit when your out in the car did you jump out and try to save it ??? no you will have kept driving !!
cave men in the past used the whole animal ! thats the way nature intended it ! you ate the food wore the fur and used the bones nothing went to waste !
this in no way means that i am for the killing of animals just for there fur!

listen. what you say is a point... they get killed anyway so why not get them? i understand that. but not buying real fur is reducing the ammounts of real fur products that are being made. so in the end that reduces the ammount of animals that are killed for their fur. (how many times have i typed the word 'fur' on my answer...lol) so its like saying NO to real fur when you dont buy it. say that everyone had ur view on real fur, what would that help at? but if you dont buy it its better for the reasons i explained above.. hope you liked my answer!! xxx

Indirectly you did kill the animal. Through your purchase, you fund the companies that employ the person that kills the animal. Imagine the situation reversed and you were killed for your skin. I have nothing against hunting and using the pelts or leather but to kill something just for its outer layer and let the rest rot to waste just smacks of disgusting. Like people that shoot deer for just the rack. Take the deer with you and donate it to a homeless shelter or something useful.

i was watchin the telly wen it was about fur and it showed u films and it was disgusting. cats were crammed into cages and all you could hear was them screaming. dogs were flung off the top of buildings and into a van. if you saw that programme then you would think that is something wrong with wearing fur.
how can you ay that they died for no reason if you never bought it? if no one bought fur then ppl wouldnt kill animals for fur cos they were getting no money! you are funding it.
by the way i am not a hippy

Farming for real fur or hunting just for pelts is disgusting. If the fur is a by product of food like leather from cattle then it's less of a problem. Wearing fur is no crime but obtaining it by making animals suffer certainly is.
