how close can friends get??

A friend of mine ( from the opposite sex) and I talk about evrything, Yes, everything. At one point we may have been a couple, but she broke that off quite effectively. Im totally cool with just being friends, infact i even prefer it. Even though we are just friends, we seem to understand each other pretty well. This can make it look like we are always talking and laughing. A few people have asked me if we are dating and i tell them that we are just friends. When i say this they dont seem very convinced.

What i would like to know is how close can friends be before there is a relationship?

i think it totally depends on the nature of the persons. there are people who, when u meet for the first time make u feel so comfortable that u wonder whether this was ur first meeting.

its the emotional connection that u have for a person. sometimes in ur time of need, its not ur relatives but ur friends who come to ur help.

i think it great that u share that kind of bonding with ur friend and to know that u still have an emotional connection inspite of ur breakup. u shud cherish that.

Well, in my opinion the only difference between being very best friends and dating is holding hands, kissing, or the optional sex. Friends can become very close and not date.

you should only be in a relationship if you feel attracted to one another. otherwise, you can be friends to whatever extent you like. no one else should judge you for that.
