why the ambulances have different lights?

in bulgaria and russia the ambulances had red lights, in russia ALSO HAD BLUE LIGHTS. WHY all the europe (without spain, which have ambulances with amber lights) have ambulances (emergency vehicles) have blue lights and not red light. As long as I know in USA the emergency vehicles like ambulance, fire engines and police have red lights, the same is in Japan and Australia. Tell me why all the europe have emergency vehicles with blue lights?

They are every color and demension in NY, there is no-way you CAN'T see or hear them with that distinctive NY "WOOOP" "WOOOP" "WOOOOOOP" barking down the street echoing. It means that probably someone is hurt and dying SO GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY ! NOW !!!!! I've gone through red lights, into drive ways, and up onto sidewalks to get out of their way, NO COP in the world is going to give you a ticket for getting out of the way of an emergency vehicle !
