If you set up the computer with the Serial Com port connected to the Fax Modem and the ethernet connection to a hub or router Yes. Depending on the OS determines the configuration.

use ics(Internet connection sharing)
click properties on the connectin then going in the advance tab and select the allow this connection sharing
