Yahoo is not a proper English word but it means that someone is enjoying when he/she is doing something like in this website yahoo.com it means that whoever visits this website will enjoy it and do more and more as there is a lot on yahoo such as games,education,food.
I hope u must have by now got the real meaning of 'YAHOO'.

Beg to differ: I'm sure it is in the dictionary. It is an expression of joy, but it also has another meaning: a hick or a yokel. Someone who is not very worldly.

However, when you finally find the answer you are looking for, "Yahoo!" seems like an appropriate thing to say.

its not a real word that ull find in a dictionary .. Yahoo is an expresion u make when u are excited .. or happy :) Yaaahooooo .. as in hoooraayy ... yeeeaaahh

a yahoo is a simpleton from the very rural areas ,hardly civilized,more than likely illiterate ,who does not wash regularly and speaks with his mouth full when he is eating
